Stout Stuff was founded by two former retail executives with the ultimate
goal of providing innovation and quality at a value. Delivering on that
objective has enabled our company to grow a strong team and continually
expand the product portfolio for almost twenty years.

Founders launch Stout Stuff with focus on Direct Import

Entered Pet Care market via Dog Accessories category
2007
Strategic Asian headquarters established in Ningbo, China

Norm Banwarth
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Prior to co-founding Stout Stuff Norm
spent 20 years in operations and
merchandising at Walmart culminating in
managing the Sporting Goods business
for Walmart US. Other roles in the retail
industry include operations at Safeway
and import operations consulting.
Kent Webb
Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer
In addition to co-founding Stout Stuff Kent
served 10+ years with Walmart in
merchandising and international finance
roles. Before entering the retail industry
he spent several years in the commercial
real estate industry and taught accounting
in the University of Arkansas system.
Mandy Hu
Chief Operating Officer
Asia Operations
Mandy was one of the first hires at Stout
Stuff in 2006. She has been instrumental
in building out our Asia operations and
leading a growing team of associates
across three international offices. Prior to
Stout Stuff she worked in textile exports
for the European market.
Steve Markey
Chief Operating Officer
US Operations
Steve joined the Stout Stuff team in 2018
after a 30+ year stint in Operations at
Walmart primarily in the California
market. Steve began his career with
Walmart after graduating from New Mexico State where he played football for the Aggies.
Catherine Zhang
New Associate Spotlight
Catherine joined our company in 2023 as a Replenishment Manager. She brings with her a Master's Degree in Business Analytics from the University of Arkansas, as well as her expertise in Data Analysis to optimize and enhance replenishment strategies.
